Tree Shine Quilt Pattern: Perfect for Holiday Gifts

Somehow we’ve made it to the middle of October, which means you can probably hear Jingle Bells ringing in your ears already!  And if not, then my newest quilt pattern – Tree Shine- will definitely get you in the holiday spirit :)

I never want to wish time away but if you are planning to make gifts, or just a quilt to decorate your home this Christmas, you need to start long before the snow begins to fall!  Tree Shine is the third pattern in the “Shine Series” along with Heart Shine and Pumpkin Shine that both released earlier this year.  This pattern series is a twist on the traditional Irish chain quilt block, and of course includes my favorite sawtooth stars.

The pattern is written for both baby and throw size quilts, but I have also had testers make table runners and pillows out of the blocks.  They are all so fun and festive!  There are also options to make the quilt using yardage, so that all the trees are the same, or fat quarters if you want to showcase several different fabrics.

Here are a Couple More Highlights about the Tree Shine Quilt Pattern:

-Beginner-friendly.  You got this!

-The sawtooth stars are made with half-square triangles.  I highly recommend this ruler to save you time.

-The pattern is available in both throw and baby sizes and can be used with yardage or fat quarters.

I made my cover quilt using the yardage requirements and all the details are below. There are quilt kits available for this version at PunkinHead Fabrics. There are also kits available for the version on the right over at Morgan Kelly Quilts.
