It’s Christmas in September! Or at least that is what it feels like, because it is finally release day for my Team Santa quilt pattern! This pattern has actually been in the works since February when I first sketched it out on graph paper, on an early morning flight home from QuiltCon. And ever since I started working on that first draft, it has become my kids’ favorite quilt.

The pattern features nine big reindeer blocks- one for each of Santa’s team members- each wearing a fun, festive sweater. If you are like me, the sweaters are actually a great way to use up the scraps of Christmas fabric that you may have accumulated!
So far I have made two versions: one with a white background and one with a red background. I used the same plaid fabrics from Riley Blake to make the reindeer sweaters in both quilts. I probably would have been a little more creative with my fabric choices in the red version, however it was supposed to be a donation for my church raffle. That is until my kids claimed it! (So I guess I can always make another version to donate next year!)
I hope you enjoy this quilt as much as I do! I just know it is going to be a holiday keepsake for years to come, with lots of movie night snuggles and hot cocoa stains.
Here Are The Details:
-The pattern comes in just one size. 65”x74”
-I have labeled the pattern as intermediate, mostly because there are so many steps and pieces to keep track of. However, the pattern uses traditional piecing and basic construction, so I am confident that many beginner level quilters could give it a try!
-I have both paper and PDF versions available in my shop.
-There is room under each reindeer block for embroidering their names (Dasher, Dancer, etc), if you choose!
